In past few years i’ve used around seven smartphones , starting from lower end samsung phones to high end smartphones like iphone 6s and lg nexus. But micromax canvas xpress 2 was my best deal .
I normally don’t use smartphones in this price bracket but it was sent to me by a company for reviewing and I was blown away by its performance.
Now its not the cream of the crop and you should be mad if you are expecting something like this in rs.6000 price range , but looking at its price and specs that you get , this is an outstanding deal .
Now talking about its specifications , it has a 5 inch screen , 1280x720p hd display, 1.4ghz octa core processor which is pretty smooth , it runs on android 4.4.2 that is kitkat but is upgradable to 5.0 lollipop , it has 2500mah battery which performs very well , 1 gb ram and 8 gb of internal memory out of which 4.5gb is usable . Now the worst thing about smartphones of this price range is their camera and the best thing about this smartphone is its camera . It has a 13 MEGAPIXEL back camera which clicks some awesome photos , focussing does take some time but you really can’t complain after you’ve seen the pictures . It records 1920x1080p hd videos .While the back camera is outstanding the front 2mp camera didn’t impress a lot . The crisp was missing and it was very tough clicking selfies at night .
I wouldn’t use its back cameara for anymore selfies. The performance of the processor is very good . The interface is very smooth but it does lag sometime specially when 2 or more apps are running in background . But at the end of the day if you are getting a smartphone like this for so cheap , it would be unfair to complain . All in all my experience with micromax canvas xpress 2 was very good , by its performance and looks it gives a very premium feel and I recommend it to everybody
