Micromax launched the Canvas Xpress 2 last month, priced at Rs 5, 999. With the specifications on offer, it not only competes against the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi 2, and Coolpad Dazen 1etc.
The first thing that struck us was the quality of the packaging. The packaging looks premium despite being inthe affordable range. Having said that, the overall build quality is a bit below par when you compare the likes of the Redmi 2 and the Dazen 1. That said, the Canvas Xpress 2 is much more stylish with the golden metallic strip and the black volume rocker and power button on the side.
The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz octa-core chipset, making it the most affordable smartphone in India to feature such a processor. The processor is paired with 1GB ofRAM, and 8GB internal storage, of which around 4.5GB is available for the user.
