I’ve bought Micromax Q5 fb in last week. Till today it seems to be a good phone. I’ve bought a TATA DOCOMO SIM (and had Idea since long time)and wanted to buy a dual SIM phone to accomodate both th cards. So I finalized on this phone (as I did not want to invest more than 4k on phone) as this phone catered all my needs. Right now I’m using this phone to connect to internet on laptop. It’s user interface is good. Before buying I was feared that this might have childish UI. But that is not the case!
Some things that I really miss are:
Phone memory is only 15 MB. So whenever I try to use gmail (on phone), it shows "Insufficient memory" (But then you can not except all these things in Rs. 3850!)
Copy/paste feature (which is availabe in Nokia’s almost every model)is missing
I’m used to predictive text (for SMS); this also not present (this might be because of QWERTY keypad; so that is not a problem! But I miss it)
When you are talking on one SIM, for other SIM it says "Out of coverage area". I was hoping that it would play a waiting tune :-(
The good things are:
The sound quality is very good
Audio recorder:You can record songsthat are being braodcasted on FM radio
In built ebuddy application using which you can login to Gtalk, Yahoo messenger etc. But it give problem with DOCOMO (However I was able to use it smoothly wwith my idea SIM)
one touch Facebook is OK.
One bad thing is that Opera browser is not working from the day I bought it. When I click on it, it says "drive not found" I could not understand this.
The customer care service is bad. You have to dial the number and then wait and wait and wait. Its timings are only 10.30 am to 6.30 pm from Monday to Friday.
