I got the Micromax Q6 mobile phone around 3 weeks back. I wanted a dual sim mobile with in a budget of less than Rs 5000. I had orginally zeroed on Samung Chat mobile but it was only available in white color. So, I looked for other options and micromax was one option for dual sim mobile. One will surely get attracted to this mobile at first sight due to it’s stylish look. But as soon as one pick’s up, he’ll surley be disappointed with the heavy weight(160 gms). I too was disappointed but then I had already liked it for it’s look.
On using it for first week, I experienced problem in volume of caller. Sound of the caller was coming too low and I virtually had to block another ear to get what other person was saying. More over, there was some issue with the microphone as other person was not able to hear me for around 50-60% of time. I got the set replaced but low sound volume of calling person is still there. I believe its an inherent problem in Q6 model. Sound quality of music played on phone is good but not better than W700i Sony Ericsson phone that I used for more than 3 years. I am not a internet geek, so I don’t use facebook and MSN messenger. Therefore, I cannot comment on internet connectivity of the phone.
In short, as a phone I am disapppointed with phone as it has low sound volume of calling person(primary objective of phone) and headphones provided with the set are not up to mark. They are big in size and it’s difficult to put these in ear and fall down often. Some thing like Sony Erricsson Walkan series headphones would have been great which provide great sound experience and fits into ear easily.
There might be better phones available than Q6. So do a thorough research before purchasing Q6.
