I dont understand why people complain as much, since this is a clearly stated public preview version. but still it looks pretty good. very stable on my machine, with nice new features, like the picture bar, side bar and a couple more. its not a new invention, but just like IE5, its an improvement of the previous version. I did not encounter any problems, beside maybe the lack of ability to configure the new security options, but that will be enabled in the official version so im not worried. to sum it up, heres a company that made the 6th version of its browser right.
I have installed every OS upgrade since DOS 5.0 which includes all Windows versions Browsers, E-mail Clients(and Betas)thru Windows Me; and have rarely experienced the multitude of problems identified here and elsewhere on the Net. If people would take the time to properly maintain their hard drives by utilizing the excellent utilities that are available today, performance problems related to a specific OS would be at an absolute minimum! Also, many do not take advantage of system & driver upgrades as they become available.I am currently using IE 6.0, and as with all previous versions have no complaints what-so-ever. Software design and capabilities keep getting better with each passing day. Mentally slide your chair up to a DOS 6.0 machine and meditate for a moment - - - should I return to Then, or might I be just a bit happier with Now!
