There are people who are willing to spend more than 70, 000 on an iPhone. The funny fact is that some of them still moan citing their poor purchasing decision. I am, fortunately, not one of them. Im happy that till date Ive not reached the five figure mark when it comes to smartphones. Some may say Im stupid, but who cares? I dont.
When Microsoft decided to take off the brand name Nokia from the market, I felt saddened. For those of us who have seen the mobile phone world emerge and then take off, Nokia is one name we cannot not think about in this segment. I was naturally unhappy with Microsoft because my last phone was a Nokia Lumia 520. Anyway, I decided to change to the larger Microsoft Lumia 535 in exchange for my previous handset.
What I like about the phone? Plenty.
I like the larger screen size of the phone. It does look pretty big.
I like the 1GB RAM instead of the 520MB that my previous handset had.
I like the front camera and the flash in the rear camera.
I like the fact that I can convert a normal call into a Skype video call.
I like playing Subway Surfer and other games without stoppages on the new Lumia.
I like the Microsoft logo on the phone.
While it has nothing to do with the phone, the Windows 8.1 OS has also made life easier for me. From the menu at the top(that I can swipe down) to Cortana to the better apps, Windows 8.1 OS has indeed come a long way. However, it still has a long way to go to match Android and iOS(if it can).
Overall, Microsoft Lumia 535 a good purchase for me. At least, it hasnt yet let me down like many of the more expensive Samsung phones.
