After all the hangups the blue screens the Lockups the driver not found, Microsoft Came up with a WINNT on Steroids. Intially I was a taken aback for the Fact that it was a microsoft product and I was still happy with the OS2 WARP 4 ..but then it was nearly dead ..Win 95 was a boon to the GUI Clicker ..and win98 marginally improved on that ..It looked diffrent but it did not have the Stability to back it !! Then I got to try a Preview of Win2K and Was I Hooked ...it did not offer me too much on the gaming front but it had good driver support for peripherals and it DID not Crash Boom BanG.. It was not a True multi-tasking OS as Linux but linux was for Gurus ... Not for Newbies wanting a stable office PC. Well it has improved on that and much more ..for a networked Scenario its quite handy and allows for changes on the fly. It is indeed a start of a new trend..and with WinXP following up with a Win2K background but a new interface some good has come out of Microsoft. But Beware unless microsoft does better Linux is getting fast popular and its GUI interfaces are Catching Up. So tough Days ahead.
