Yesterday (May 5th, 2014) I visited Midas ENT hospital around 8:30 AM to get my kid’s ear cleaned, as he is suffering from a prolonged infection in both ears. My 5 year old kid was a premature baby born at Rainbow Hospitals and we always visit the same for his regular health checkups. To cure his infection, rainbow doctors suggested a medication and we are undergoing the same. Meanwhile, they also asked us to get the ears cleaned regularly for which we chose a local doctor since Rainbow was very far from my house.
Since the local doctor whom we regularly visit was out of station, we found this MIDAS ENT hospital through Justdial and convinced by the name since it says "Super speciality" that too just for ENT. Hospital atmosphere is wonderful. I should mention this first because, this was the only positive thing about the hospital.
As soon as we entered the doctor’s room, we started realizing the arrogant behavior of the doctor. He questioned us asking the reason for not bringing my kid to hospital even though the infection was very severe. Since this was a valid question, my husband answered him saying that he is undergoing the treatment for the same at Rainbow and explained the actual purpose of our visit. To our surprise, the doctor just forcibly closed the file in front of him and asked us to go back and visit Rainbow itself. To translate exactly-these were his words:
"Why did you come here. Go there itself. Who is the doctor at Rainbow? Go there only, go there. Take an appointment at Rainbow and go there." I cannot even express the heights of harshness he has shown. Ultimately, with a minimum response from my husband to doctor’s arrogance, we returned without any treatment.
But more than the infection, his words and his behavior are most painful and me and my husband could not eat our dinner that day.
Nothing wrong even if you seize such hospitals. If he is not willing to treat another doctor’s patient, that is fine. The way of expressing should be different. The most worst experience I ever had with any doctor. Request all of you to be aware of such hospitals.
