Mili is one the most heartwarming film created by the master himself Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It has beautiful acting talents and the sweetest and simple sad story of all times.
Plot: Mili(Jaya Bachan) is a simple resident in a city. Everybody loves her and cares of her in the building. Her laughter is filled in the building. There are all sorts of characters in the building but nobody gets angry with Mili. Then one day a drunk man whose father killed his mother and got hanged(Amitabh Bachan) comes and lives in the building. He doesn’t socialize with anybody. Mili somehow melts his heart. They then fall in love with each other slowly but then suddenly Mili comes to know she’s a cancer patient and she won’t live very long. What happens next is very interesting although I won’t say it.
The acting was great and Jaya Bachan , Ashok Kumar(Mili’s father), and Amitabh Bachan were outstanding. Aruna Irani also was pretty good. Hrishikesh Mukherjee handled it beautifully and the film was a real classic. he was at his best!
