I decided to upgrade from my Maruti 800 about 2 months ago and went for a search around the town. I was looking for a B segment car in the process I visited all the related dealers. I finally zeroed down on WagonR but I had to decide which dealer to go to since there are four Maruti dealers in Pune alone. Two were quickly ruled out due to their being too far away from my house and the remaining two were Sai Service and Millennium Mobility.
Sai Service is a big name in Pune Mumbai region due to the sheer size of its operations. In Pune Sai Service has two showrooms, one in Phugewadi and another on JM Road. I had gone to the JM road showroom where they also have a servicing station and a petrol pump. I do not have much positive things to say about them.
In fact I found these guys to be a bit unorganized and disorderly. Firstly their showroom space is very cramped and awkwardly hidden behind the hoards of cars that are wither lined up for servicing in their adjoining service station, or are there to be delivered to the customers. The customer has to shuttle to many of their floors to talk to various sales persons/managers.
Their accessories department is on another floor. Overall one gets the feeling of chaos all around and there is no single person who sits patiently with you and tries to explain things to you according to your requirement. This was a major piss off and I decided to give Millennium Mobility a try.
Their showroom is located in Safire Park Galleria on old Mumbai Pune highway opposite Shopper?s Stop. The showroom is quite large and is clearly visible from the distance. All the customer care personnel are located on the ground floor only and the customer does not have to shuttle here and there. The one thing that I liked most about the place is the cleanliness they observe there and how orderly the things have been arranged.
As soon as we (me and my wife) stepped in we were greeted by their receptionist and on hearing our requirement we were directed to a salesman immediately who made us sit comfortably and directed all his attention to us. I really felt good by his courtesy and politeness. We were offered coffee and refreshment within 2 minutes. The salesman was very knowledgeable and gave us a good 45 minutes to gauge our requirements and advice us on prices and models. I initially had Alto in mind but he made strong recommendations for Zen and WagonR on hearing our requirements. And I am glad that he did.
We were offered to test ride any number of cars that we wanted to though all the car dealers often have only the top end model of each car for a test drive. I was explained in detail about the advantages/disadvantages of each car and I liked the fact that he was not biased to push the sales of any particular car but was offering an honest opinion. We returned home to think about it finally.
We finally booked WagonR LXI and it was promised to be delivered to us in 2 weeks. But due to some reasons our plans for buying the car were postponed and we had to cancel the booking. The sales person did not make any fuss about it and just asked for a written application stating the reason for the same and returned our booking amount the next day. On the contrary he was sorry that we would be missing so many discounts that were being offered due to Diwali.
As the luck would have it, we had to revert our decision within a month and we approached him again to buy the car and this time in a hurry. He welcomed us with the same warmth and courtesy and promised us to deliver the car in 2 days flat (LX however since LXI would have taken a month), since our loan was already approved.
I doubted whether he would be able to do so but he stuck to his promise and I had the keys of my car in my hand on the day he promised me. Since then I have been to their showroom several times (for number plate, collecting RC/TC, verification etc) and each time I am treated with utmost courtesy and attention. Not once it has happened that they have promised something and not delivered. I must say that their services have even surpassed my expectations.
To add the icing to the cake, they have expanded their service center too and it is now as big (even bigger) than Sai Service. I had my first car servicing there recently and I was thoroughly satisfied. I must say that it has been a pleasure dealing with Millennium Mobility.
