SOOPER SI COOPER

So, being a guy, cars were a thing that always allured me. Looking at them, playing with them, seeing the tyre splash  fidgeting with them-they were a part of my existence. Things have not really changed now also. There is still that kid in me who has the ingrained desire to drive each and every car, in the world(if not all the cars, but atleast the ones around me).

Last month, was the time of my life. I was to go to Pune( from Mumbai) to attend a friend’s wedding.

The best thing that happened was the drive. Yes. THE DRIVE. A friend of mine, who had recently got the fiery orange, MINI COOPER, was generous enough to hand over his car keys to me.yayaya.

On sitting on the driver seat, it was nothing less than sitting inside a flight’s cockpit.

The steering which looked like those of Lamborghini’s( ya, I have a  sort of perpetual imaginative power), was able to make me feel in control of the mini beast. I just had to scoot away with it.

It is a classy vehicle- the plush carbon black upholstery, the LED screen that can help you out with music, navigation, car running information, calls, the flight type knobs- were actually opulent.

Me and my friend have always been tad adventurous. We decided to put the car to work. I pushed the 1.5 litres, three cylinder diesel engine and god, it was responsive. We were throwing the car at edges, swerving  rapidly, but the car managed to remain stable. It dominated the mountain ghats too with much ease. Not for a single second did it make me feel the need to really push it hard. It just glided. At even 180 kmph, the car showed no sign of wobbling. We could actually cover the 120 km haul in less than 2 hours.  The drive finally came to an end but I was left with memories which were unforgettable.

With the kind of persona that this car emits, people should definitely go for it if they are avid car lovers.

Pros- Brand Value, Engine, Interior, Driving Comfort, fuel efficiency, looks to die for, foldable rear seats, boot space, features, interior design.

Cons- the rear seats feel crammed(good for kids though), rear windscreen is quite small making it difficult for you to look what’s behind while reversing, meant for the class-not for the mass,
