Yes that’s right …..The title is no mistake; I am so thrilled at this reservation issue. I think is it the best thing ever to happen to India, to carry it forward through all these years and making the quota even bigger is the best thing that is happening to our country, to it youth and to its morale.
I have heard a million people talk about the reservations, and mostly I stood in the sidelines trying to get a better grasp at the system and understand it’s over all impact. And really, I think I understand it, atleast to some extent. I am not going to carry on and on with this introduction, instead am going to list the reasons why I think this reservations is a good thing.
FOR THE YOUTH OF THE COUNTRY
Well how easy it has become for the youth of this country to rise and succeed!!! The so called SC/ST, gain immense respect from their peers, when they perceive that this person is here only because of the reservation quota. It does not matter how intelligent, or how deserving the candidate is, it does not matter that he studied long and hard to prove his merit, to earn his marks, it does not matter he scored 92% on his board exams. All that matters is that he belongs to the ST/ST OBC class. Isn’t that incentive enough to make him want to study harder and earn his college seat?,
The so called Brahmins come on!! Haven’t they had enough luxury for all this time? For example, so what if a Brahmin girl has studied 12 hours a day for 4 years, just to gain a seat in a regular BCom college in Chennai? And so what if her hard work has paid off in terms of 92% on her Board exams? Who does she think she is, how dare she dream to go to a good college. She should remember she is a Doomed Upper Class, and should be put into her place. She needs to be taught that she does not deserve the seat, no matter how good she is. I think its great incentive for her to study and do well, just so she could get rejected in colleges solely on the basis of CASTE!!!!
Isn’t the message clear, WHO CARES IF YOU STUDY OR NOT, IN THE END THE CASTE IS ALL THAT MATTERS!!!!
FOR THE PARENTS
The parents of this country, have it so easy, don’t you think? All they have to do is explain to their kids that all the hard work means nothing, what really matters is whether you have a certain certificate or not, whether you know the right people or not, and most importantly if it is election time or not!!!!
They have to tell their kids the reality of life is wonderful. That their ability to rise to the top depends really on what caste they belong to!!!!. It does not matter how hard they work, how responsible they are, how strong their integrity is. All they need to know is if the family is SUPPOSEDLY Upper or Lower caste.
FOR THE POLITICIANS OF THE COUNTRY
They hit the BUMPER LOTTERY haven’t they? Come on when you don’t have to do anything but scream at the top of your lungs once in a while, stir the emotional public to feud among themselves, and instigate communities against each other, just to ensure a plump vote base, who wouldn’t want to take their place?
To hell with the problem of water, to hell with the unemployment rate, who cares if the best of brains go to other countries and help in their prosperity, who cares if a poor man cannot afford education for his daughter, who cares….NO ONE. Because all that really matter is if you are able to instigate the supposedly lower class against the supposedly higher caste, by making them believe that they are entitled to all the shortcuts, and that is the only way for them to come up in life and to prosper!!!!!!
I can just see myself sink deeper into the ground while I scream at the top of my voice
TO ALL THE PARENTS
Things are only going to get worse if this thing goes through; there is no hope for your children!!!! REJOICE BECAUSE THEIR HARD WORK AND YOUR PRINCIPLES MEANS NOTHING TO ANYONE ANYMORE
TO THE YOUTH
I PITY YOU, FOR THOSE WHO WORK HARD AND NOT MAKE IT, FOR THOSE TO HARDLY WORK AND STILL MAKE IT AND MOST OF THOSE WHO WORK AND ARE NOT GIVEN THE CREDIT; I PITY YOU!!!!!!
To the Politicians
I am so happy for you, you have succeeded in retarding the growth of this country, but at least you made money and ensured your seat in doing so. Go ahead let no one else rise, all the while when you are soaring to the top, and YOUR CHILDREN STUDY ABROAD UNAFFECTED!!!!
