My Dad had his left knee surgery at this hospital in Jan 09, his surgery went well. I believe any surgery cures the patient only up to 50% and the rest is completely depending on the post care treatment. MIOT ranks ZERO in post care treatment.
During is recovery in ICU right after surgery, obviously the patient was feeling numbness and not passing urine, despite patient insisting that I can pass urine once the numbness wears off, a nursing staff were trying to insert a tube into his gentile, while she is training some one on a different job that she was not even listening to the patient what he says or how he feels. I learn that only a Doctor should do this job and not a nurse.
As she was not concentrating or focusing on what she was doing, she obviously mad some injury or tear some tissue inside and that the patient start to have a lite bleeding in his urine. He was bleeding for a whole day and the head doctor was not even aware of his patient condition, so the next day when he visited and my Mom informed about this to the Doctor. He prescribed for a urinal test and that came positive for infection.
The patient was is feeling severe pain because of the tube inside, he wanted to be removed for some time, but the Doctor told he will die if we remove, but I Mom again insisted can it be removed for just an hour? Guess what the Doctor said, I was surprise by their response.
Doctor told a nurse, OK, remove the tube and Discharge the patient immediately. Does not it sounds like they are throwing you away?
Some one need to teach the Doctors and Staff over there "how to be polite with patient".
I strongly recommend to STAY AWAY from this hospital.
