I had my father treated for kidney failure and I find the doctors in Nephro departement to be well experienced and professional.
My father has diagnosed with kidney failure 3 years back and one of my family friend referred me to MIOT since they had a successful Kidney transplant in that hospital. By the time my father was diagnosed with Kidney failure, he had full swelling all over his body and was unable to breathe properly. I had admitted in a hospital in my home town. He got operated with AV Fistual in his hand for dialysis. But due to bad procedure at that hospital, he got infection and dialysis wasn’t happening with that fistula in hand. Immediately I brought him to chennai and admitted him in MIOT.
They had tested the fistula which is blocked and is not useful for dialysis. They had fixed one more fistual in the same hand at some other place and dialysis was succesful after the fistula was ready and set for dialysis. And there is no problem or infection with that fistula till date.
From that point, I take him to MIOT only for monthly checkups and if there is any emergency situation related to kidney.
I find treatment cost in MIOT to be reasonable as compared to Apollo and the treatment is also good in the Nephro departement as far as my opinion is conecerned. I think that might be the reason for most of the people from Middle East comes to MIOT for treatment.
