After getting an attractive offer for hair straightening from an internet site I decided to try miraj family salon. I got an appointment fixed and went there, 2 persons were assigned for the treatment who very easily convinced me to pay 1000 bucks extra for some modified treatment which they called smootheinig as they were continuously insisting that straightening will leave the hair dull and smoothening will bring the shine and lustre back so I was left with no option but to agree.
=Oonce the treatment was complete I was told to visit the salon after 3 days for hair cut which I did but this time the experience was not good at all I was charged 100 bucks each for washing and conditioning separately which made the whole price of haircut including wash n condition 450. I mean that’s crazy as I know some branded salons who make wash a part of haircut without separately charging for it. Top of it the guy who did straightening was not allowed to give me haircut n the guy who was assigned the job din’t listen to me n even after repeatedly been told not to shorten my hair remarkably made them short giving me the excuse that my hair were too damaged.
Moreover, he was telling me a hair spa was mandatory 3 days after straightening about which I was not informed before. it was obvious from the staff attitude that their main concern is to push customers for different services without listening to their demands. I found the staff very unprofessional there as most of the time they are fighting with each other or shouting at each other.
I don’t know if its a practice in Kolkata but i’ve seen some customers tipping the staff there may be that’s another reason the staff won’t act professionally. my suggestion for people going there is if you gonna visit this salon for straightening you can give it a try even if you pay 3200 for smoothening its a decent deal but stick to it and don’t get trapped by the sweet talks of the staff as rest of services are too expensive n not worth the money you pay.
