“ One large RS and Soda “
“Sir, aap Screw Driver ya Blue lagoon lijiye “
“ Nahi yaar, mai cocktail pine ke mood me nahin hoo”
“Sir, aap le ke to dekhiye “
“ Please give me one large RS and soda”
“Sir, aap agar cocktail try karte…”
At Mirch Masala, this continues( time and again, irrespective of your number of visits) until you are thoroughly irritated and frustrated….
Captains and waiters are trained to maximize hotels business to an extent that they are often rude and they loose that touch of hospitality .They always advise(?) after you tell your drink of choice , the higher priced liqueur or cocktail which may not suit you.
If you happen to finally win to order your drink of choice:
“ Are complimentary snacks laya nahi?”
“ Sir, yahaa pe complimentary kuch nahin miltaa”
“ Are lekin kal hi to tune roasted papad complimentary diyaa tha”
If he brings papad , which is at his sole discretion, he will not bring chutney that was offered in your last visit. Again you have to beg for chutney.
Restaurant, in my opinion, has no clarity in the business model they want to adapt.
It wants to attract plush crowd and at the same time does not want to loose price conscious segment. Naturally, they have sacrificed hospitality in an attempt to cater to both of them.
Now about food:
Food quality is excellent and there can be no other opinion about it.
Tandoor non- veg and fish starters and food send your mouth watering ….
There is some scope for improvement on the quantity/size front.
