Negligent Employees resulting in a horrible experi

We would like to share our horrible experience about ordering from mirraw.com from the USA to save the trouble for other customers.


We ordered two sarees with custom-stitched blouses from Mirraw.com on April 3, 2018, for an event on June 1, 2018.


Here are the issues we faced.




  1. Their website has several bugs: The system somehow missed the details of the blouse for the 2nd saree at the time of order even though we had asked it to use the same measurements for both. After 3 weeks the issue was resolved. The status on the website told us that the blouse for the 1st saree had been stitched.




  2. The employees are careless: Soon after the first problem was resolved the order arrived. However, instead of the stitched blouse, blouse cloth was packed for the first saree(Which had been stitched earlier). When we called, they said that they had sent a stitched blouse and asked us to send pictures of what we had received. We sent pictures.




  3. The employees don’t understand the USA: Their response was that they will refund the stitching charges. They don’t understand that we cannot get blouse stitched here in the USA. Refunding the stitching charges is not the solution. At this point, they said if we are not happy to return the item. They know that the cost of returning the item from the USA to India is high. The customer should not be responsible for paying the shipping charges when it is clearly their mistake. I asked for a pre-paid label but they refused. Mr. Prasant Bobade sent his "pre-formatted" message several times in response to my request implicitly refusing the return shipping.




  4. The employees don’t read the email: Their email box was full for almost a week. Their system kept generating messages on schedule every 24 hours. But all my responses to those messages were returned back to me saying the email box is full.

After several days of trying unsuccessfully to respond to their auto-generated emails, I called over the phone and the person(Sagarika) taking the calls said that they will respond in a few days. Then in a few days again I received the same "pre-formatted" message from Prasant Bobade simply giving the return address but nothing about shipping charges.


Dealing with Mirraw has resulted in so much waste of our valuable time and now we are going to the event without the dress.


If you want Indian dresses, please look elsewhere. We had a very positive experience with Panashindia last year.
