With the boom of web series viewership, especially in the Indian market, we have been exposed to some really good content courtesy Sacred Games, Narcos, Inside Edge. But Mirzapur has really upped it a notch. Beginning with the acting, each and every character seems to gracefully fit into their roles. Pankaj as Kaleen Bhaiya, the Godfather of Mirzapur is an imposing character commanding both fear and respect. The brothers - Guddu(Ali) and Bablu(Vikrant) have shown some really good performances as they transform from middle class students to the’Lions of Mirzapur’. And of course, we have Munna Bhaiya(Dibyendu), the rash, impulsive, hot-headed, spoilt brat of a son to the Godfather, who is eager to take over Mirzapur himself. Ali and Dibyendu especially have impressively gone out of their comfort zones and absolutely nailed it. Extremely believable plot despite the massive turn of events at almost every point of time. Viewer discretion however is advised. Strong abusive language, obscene sexual content and gory violence make it a spine chilling experience. Almost disgusting at times. But every minute of it is totally worth it. Must Watch!
