Ms. Congeneality wins her title

I went to see this movie because Sandra Bullock is an excellent actress and really funny, and I was just itching to see a lighthearted, funny movie. Now this is not a murder mystery so don’t get your hopes up, it’s just a comedy not meant to be taken too seriously, but like most movies, it does have it’s lessons, about how Ms. America is not just a beauty contest.

Gracie Hart(Sandra Bullock) is the most unelegant, unmannerly and unfeminine woman to cross your movie screen, as they manage to make her appear unattractive. She is regarded by her peers at the bureau as a fellow agent, one of the guys practically. But then she is assigned to a mission involving the Ms. Usa pageant, where she has to clean herself up and ends up making all the guys who scoffed at the very idea, start drooling as they see the new and improved Gracie. Of course there is also the chauvinistic male (The very cute Benjamin Bratt)who ends up falling for her.

It’s a great movie, with few surprised, but many laughs. After the movie, you’ll be laughing too hard to whine about the predictability.
