This movie, though a sequel to the highly tech-savy "misiion impossible" and "mi:2"..is not all that tech-savy as expected. And to be frank, I really liked that point. I thought it took a completely different course from the previous 2 movies. "mi:2" was stylish.. well, "john woo-ish" to be precise. But it had a terrible story line. And the "peeling off the mask" seemed too widely used in those. A major difference can be seen in the very beginning, if u compare “mi:2” and “mi:3”.. the self destructing shades with inbuilt display screens in “mi:2” was hi-fi. In “mi:3” it’s just a simple Kodak camera which is used to pass the message. Very believable.
In all those aspects, I loved this 3rd instalment of the series. It was more believable compared to the earlier ones, more in a traditional 007 style, but the mission was as impossible as ever. The stunt director in an interview said most stunts were done by Cruise himself, which I think was well done too..
In short, a good entertainer.. I highly recommend it..
