M:IP III

Another wonderful opportunity have come my way on Tuesday evening when attending the advanced screening of Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible III. Wow! This is an excellent kick off to the summer blockbuster movie season. Tom Cruise is great, in his lead role as an IMF leader. The heart pounding stunts, sound effects, and special effects are amazing, Mission Impossible III also offers stunning, and surprising edge of your seat action scenes despite its weak, and confusing plot.

While the plot seemed a bit confusing to me at times, I must say there’s never a dull moment in this action packed intriguing thriller. The pacing is excellent, and keeps the viewer’s interest. Tom Cruise and Phillip Seamour Hoffman lead this cast with excellent acting roles. The cast provides fairly good acting with the tremendous help of Tom Cruise, and Phillip Seamour Hoffman.

Mission impossible III is in its third sequel with Tom Cruise as its lead actor and producer, and is based on the television series by Bruce Geller. Mission Impossible III will be released on May 5, 2006. It is written and directed by J.J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The running time for this movie is 2:00.

The movie begins when IMF leader, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and a female hostage is captured by a crazed Arms Dealer, (Phillip Seamour Hoffman, ’’Capote’’) whose goal is to get a secret device called Rabbit’s Foot. Ethan’s life is threatened because a special device has been embedded in his head, a device that will end his life in minutes. As a result, Ethan is on a race against time to break free and escape death. Ethan’s first mission is to get the rabbit’s foot, and free a female hostage of the villainous Arm dealer.

When IMF leader, Ethan completes this failed mission because the female hostage is killed, and the Rabbit’s Foot is never retrieved his job is threatened. His next death-defying mission continues and becomes more intense; when he completes his mission of hiding his identity, saving his wife’s life, getting the secret device known as Rabbit’s Foot, and saving his own life after a deadly device has been implanted in his head (a flashback scene). And bringing down a criminal Armed Dealer. That’s pretty much it to this movie.

Final Thoughts

As I mentioned earlier, Mission Impossible III is an edge of your seat drama, with excellent stunts, special effects, action scenes and superb acting from lead actors Tom Cruise, and Phillip Seamour Hoffman that carries this motion picture to its many heights of success. The cinematography is excellent along with its on shot locations of a China, Italy, and Germany setting. Once again Mission Impossible III is encompassed with excellent action scenes, stunts, sound effects, excellent cinematography and fairly good acting from the cast despite its confusing plot. If you’re a ’’Mission Impossible’’ fan, or a spy movie buff than this movie is for you, and you’re in for a cinematic treat.
