Spare me

Question:** Why on

earth should Aishwarya Rai (Tilo) agree to play the part of a **simpering, woolly

headed, weak spirited, nervous (and sometimes incoherent) babbler of a woman?

Answer: Dylan McDermott (Doug), (aka **Bobby Donnel from the hit TV show ‘The Practice’).

Ultra hot, super cool, Dylan is a great actor, and has always been the alpha male of every show (or movie) he’s in. Looks like Ash got the chance of a life-time (according to her), to get cosy with Dylan, that too

on-screen. This is analogous to her smooching scene with Hrithik in Dhoom 2.

I guess that explains why Dylan also agreed to do this movie, because the direction, supporting cast, and screenplay are seriously beneath his acting level.

Let’s be frank here. The movie is a total waste of time. The story is somewhat offbeat, and as usual, the book is better than the movie. In the sex scene (which is important to the story) its almost as though the leading pair were warming up separately and doing stretching exercises, nothing else.

 Padma Lakshmi (Geeta) should have swapped roles with Ash. Then maybe the ‘supposed’ sex scene could have been… more

true to life.

Frankly, the only real reason to watch this movie would be:

a>    Loyalty to the book;

b>    Dylan McDermott’s acting prowess;

Overall, the movie’s very slow, and a total wash-out.

Read the book, its better. Cheers!
