Misty Woods was a good break that my husband and I enjoyed amidst the usual work-life rigmarole! It was pleasant and soothing. My brief review for the place is as below -
Good Points:-
Location. The place is far away from the daily life and is nested amidst dense forest, hence natural beauty. One can take it up as an opportunity to discover themselves. This place also has a natural unexplored water fall close by which is a good adventure by itself.
Staff and Service. The staff is extremely cordial and welcoming. Especially Mr. Daniel. He was friendly and helpful. Overall experience with everyone at Mistywoods was pleasant.
No Connectivity. Zero connectivity and data connection makes it a real vacation with your partner. Also as it is disconnected with the main city, it makes even blissful.
Not so Good Points:-
No Intercom, No Mobile Range (for any operator) and No room service. The location is such that you end up going up and down the hill multiple times hence not so good option for elderly or people with small kids. No mobile or intercom further aggravates the issue.
The food is average. We were lucky to get the opportunity of buffet for two days. The rest of the say was on ala carte. Monetarily, the restaurant is too expensive.
Average Rooms. The maintenance or the facilities aren’t worth the money. The rooms can be made even more classier and bright. That adds to the taste of people traveling.
No additional facilities. The swimming pool was dirty, which an average visitor would want to explore as there are no other major source of entertainment. The games zone was pretty old and not maintained that well. The options there could be increased. Also as there is no nearby location that you can travel to, or explore, you are left with no option but to stay indoors the resort.
As it is absolute remote, there are dangers of insects and worms. Hence beware with kids. And the main city is about an hour ago. With no regular transportation, the sight seeing and wandering becomes an issue.
