I am an ex student of Mithibai college science stream from the batch of 2011-2013.
I was in science stream for FYJC and SYJC.
Lots of student dream to get an admission in this college after clearing 10th std.
The process of admission and very nicely organised but it takes some time as there are lots of candidates applying in this college.
The college is operated by a trust SHRI VILE PARLE KELAVANI MANDAL. The sponsor the college from their trust’s funds and hence the college fees is as cheap as Rs. 800/- year for boys and Rs. 400/- for girls as of year 2011.
Because of this trust, the college has a very nice infrastructure. All the classrooms were having ceiling ACs installed along with projectors.
All the labs also have ACs except Physics and Chemistry and everything is nicely furnished.
There are no attendance issues for any stream in FYJC & SYJC. Even if you are standing in the corridor and professor comes to take his/her lecture, they won’t force you to attend. They would say either you come inside the classroom or go somewhere else just don’t stand in the corridor.
The college canteen is one of the best canteen any college has in mumbai. Its an ideal canteen like they show in movies where a young actor is a college student though bit noisy.
They have very high budget college fests organized on JRM Ground known as Kshitij and lots of students from other college as well as many actors attend.
All in all if you want to enjoy your college life this college is made for you.
