My first tryst with Japanese cars

I have never understood the term addiction. Always used to wonder how people got addicted to drugs, how could they not have self-control. I owned a VW pass at before for 6 years in the US, from 1999 to 2004. It was a good experience.

For the last 2 days I have been addicted to driving. My first Japanese car, a 2010 Cedia Sports. I know 2 days is too little a time to write a review. But given the build and the driving experience for the last 2 days, something tells me its going to be an addiction of a lifetime. The car is butter smooth, just glides over potholes and through bends. I made a 120 km trip from the showrrom in Madurai to my home in Kodaikanal and I just cant describe the mind blowing experience.

This car is a no-brainer for 10.5 lakhs on the road. And the attention it draws is unbeleivable.

Coming to the most important part, the torque and bhp !

My home in Kodai has such a bad terrain that it can challenge pretty much any car. I owned an INdica petrol after coming back to India in 2005. The indica climbs the terrain on the 1st gear at about 5500-6000 rpm, thus really loading the engine and ofcourse badly affecting the fuel consumption. But I dont blame the Indica, that is too good for a 75BHP car with pretty low torque. The Cedia climbs the same terrain on the 1st gear at about 2000rpm just like a breeze. The A/c is fabulous and so is the Kenwood Music system. With bluetooth setup I can dial any number on my cell through the Kenwood LCD and lo behold, I hear the receiver’s voice on all my speakers.

I will keep updating everyone on my progress with my Cedia !!!
