ANDE KA FUNDA !!

Well guys, after having read innumerable reviews abouth the Nokia fraternity on MS, I decided to give my poor little cell phone some much deserved publicity, its place under the sun.

So here goes……

I am the proud owner of the little known Mitsubishi Trium Mars……..better known as “Anda” in the cell phone market.I bet half of you guys don’t know this one, coz neither did I till I got it as a gift!

For details, read on…….

Price

This phone was probably aimed at the middle class sector, what with a modest price tag of Rs. 4500/- ( do I hear some bargaining……okay…. get it in the gray market for as low as Rs. 2800/-, what say!! )

This one is probably the cheapest phone out there, second only to the Motorola Talkabout, but with functions far, far better !! ( Paisa vasool, kya !! )

Looks

Sized at 135mm x 40mm x 250mm, this little wonder has earned its nickname due to its rounded back which makes it look like an egg. The phone has long oval buttons for accepting and rejecting calls, which also serve as menu selectors, and, a central circular navigator button. It has a changeable front cover too! ( Go ahead, suit your moods ! )

Display

The phone has an active display, meaning, the screen is animated with either a fluttering butterfly, a cute li’l winking sunflower or a zooming skyline. ( depending on which menu graphic you choose! )

Functions

For starters, it has the unique speaker phone facility, which even Nokia cannot boast of, and which enables you to have a clear two-way conversation a foot away from the cell. ( “12 inches of phone”, anyone??? )

This cell is also equipped with a scratchpad, to jot down last minute notes and a currency converter to boot.

SMS is a breeze, with its T9 function, a dictionary so exhaustive, it recognizes commonly used proper nouns, names of countries, languages and the likes!!

A 100 name phone book, each name can have a home, work and cell number attached with notes on him too!

This phone strictly means business, which explains the absence of high quality games in here. ( Gamers, go get a Nintendo! ) However, you are permitted to while your time away with some silly ones called “Push” and “Reshape” if you really are out to kill time!

Its WAP enabled too, but I haven’t used it as yet so……..(ulp!) no comments !!

Also included is an average battery life of 2 days but no Li-ion batteries. ( what do expect at this price….the world ?? )

So that’s it guys, …my sasta sundar and tikau cellphone.

I recommend this to all who happen to land up with a SIM card but with no cash in their wallet. Get this one and enjoy!!!

WHOEVER NEEDS A FINNISH CELLPHONE !!
