I had taken MMLogistic services to store my household and cars for 6 months, when I was moving US on an assignment. Based on my item list, they quoted and we agreed on price. 2-3 days before packing, they increased car storage and maintenance from 1500 to 1800 each. as it was late I agreed. on the day of packing also his labors and supervisor made a big fuss about packing and left many things back and started running saying his vehicle is full and taking time(I had disassembled all my furniture’s day before also).
After a lot of pushing they took material without numbering and some of items, I myself and to pack and load because of their bad staff. Supervisor promised he will number all of the items and send me updated list. That never came after lot of follow-ups.
I had to fly next day. And keep calling from US also. All time lame excuses, owner is getting married not able use scanner to send documents. When I came back and took material back, I was shocked see lot of damages. Cot legs were broken, fabric sofa and many of packed articles were full of fungus. And supervisor had not numbered the items he promised during pick-up.
Even in numbered list, he had missed 4-5 items. Was not ready to show me list and put things inside. And again hurry up and try to dump all inside and said all has come. When I took stock of things found some are missing, he is not agreeing and wanted settlement. I asked them to bring all material and take transport charges(all storage rent was paid in advance).
Supervisor and labors try to run away with some of costly items like TV, printer. It was nightmare for me. I believed owner for his qualification and good talk, I felt he will be professional. He turned out worse than those guys.
He fought with me for solid 3 hours and started threatening also. Car storage(2 cars) was agreed with maintenance(he will run vehicle every week, so that they are in good running conditions) and supervisor said he never took out the vehicles and started them also. Battery was dead and I had to pay 1200 extra to start, as if that is my mistake. When I saw the cars, both had got a good layer of fungus inside and smelled like hell.
Owner lied to me that cars were in running condition when I inquired in between. But supervisor told me at end that he never started it or moved or cleaned. But owner charged me for maintenance also. Owner started claiming maintenance means cleaning cars and not running it. What is cleaned?
Next day these guys brought 3 items and asked for settlement. I was already fed-up of fighting with these guys, so paid the money. And when I took final survey, I found following items missing computer chair bottom(wheel and hydraulic), single burner gas stove with 5 ltr cylinder, all of buckets, stools and many small items.
Apart from damaged items. When he dropped thing at my place, 50% boxes were open. They claim that happens during loading and unloading. I followed up with owner for 2-3 weeks for missing items, he kept saying he is not responsible those missing, because I settled things. I even was ready to go to their storage and search for my items. He said nothing is available.
