I have been using Mobikwik for almost a year primarily because of the ease of use and the e-wallet system. But over the past few months the reliability of the website has become sketchy and quality of service has really gone down the drain.
The last straw in my dealing with this website has been their increasingly truant attitude towards ticket resolution. Whereas earlier they would own up to a screw up on their website/system, they now redirect customers to contact operators for resolution of open tickets, which defeats the entire purpose of using Mobikwik.
I recharged my Gujarat Airtel number with an amount of Rs 110, like I have a gazillion times on this site, even though it is not listed on Mobikwik, but is listed on Airtel’s website. But this last time, money was deducted from the e-wallet but my phone wasn’t recharged. On raising a ticket, I was directed to contact Airtel directly.
Then began the harassment at the hands (rather replies) of Mobikwik’s staff, so much so that I have given up on the recovery of those 110 rupees.
With companies like Airtel coming up with offerings like the Airtel Money app, Mobikwik looks like a relic that I would rather not deal with.
Dhruv.
