I purchased an i20 Sportz(White) from Modi Hyundai, Thane on May 27, 2025, and the experience has been extremely disappointing.
On the day of delivery, I was handed a car that had black paint above the front logo, wasnt cleaned from the inside, and had already been driven over 80 km. Shockingly, the dashboard showed three mobile devices already paired via Bluetooth, strongly suggesting I was given a used or demo car instead of a brand-new one.
Despite raising these concerns immediately, I was told it was just some "sticky material" and they’d clean it. The car was delivered in poor lighting, which made it difficult to inspect properly. The driver’s seat was visibly soiled, and they excused it by saying drivers use it and that they’d clean it later.
The next day, they admitted the issue was with the paint, not any removable material, and said it would require repainting repainting a brand-new car on day one is completely unacceptable. The temperature readings on the MID are also inaccurate(off by around 10 degrees) and still unresolved.
I agreed to send the car for service on the condition that it would be returned by 5 PM sharp, as I had an appointment in Ulhasnagar. Although I asked for pickup at 11:10 AM, their team came only around 1 PM. Worse, the car was returned after 6 PM and was still dirty inside, despite repeated requests to clean it properly.
When I went back to question the poor service, the staff were dismissive and told me not to raise my voice no apology, no accountability.
As of now, the temperature issue is still unresolved, and Im still waiting for a proper interior cleaning.
My honest advice: Stay away from Modi Hyundai, Thane. Their practices are highly questionable, and their customer service is dismissive and unprofessional. I feel completely let down by this dealership. Hyundai deserves better representation.
