This is a feedback for an arrogant dealer at Mody Ford(Mr Mahesh), Hyderabad.
The Sales manager Mr Mahesh is very arrogant and Ford would urgently need to give basic communication skills training to such people.
The way he talks is like he is running some self owned grocery shop.
The story follows here . .
I booked 1.6 Petrol ZXI Fiesta from Mody Ford, Begumpet Hyderabad on July 3, 2010.
The sales executive is Mr Murlidharan and I found him very humble and he explained the things clearly. I booked the car same day.
Now the same day after booking I called Mr Murlidharan to hold the booking due to the difference in price of car with other dealer and other personal reasons.
He assured me that my cheque wont be deposited in bank and my booking will be kept on hold and wont be processed until I say go thru.
On July 3 and 4, I called Mr Murlidharan several times to cancel the booking but he was busy.
On July 4, I went to the showroom to cancel the current booking and return booking receipts and collect the cheques.
Mr Mahesh was present and told me that accounts is closed and could not formally cancel the booking and could not return the cheques.
- On July 5, Morning I stopped the payment of the cheques with the bank as I had already discussed with Mr Mulalidharan and Mr Mahesh that cheques wont be deposited in bank and booking is kept on hold.
I also called up Mr Murlidharan that I have stopped the payment of the cheques through the bank.
- On July 5, I got a call from Mr Mahesh for blocking the payment of the cheques and his tone was not good as if how can I do that, and I should have trusted them.
I tried to clarify him that I had already got confirmation from him and Mr Murlidharan that cheques wont be deposited in the bank and thats why I blocked the cheques.
But he has his own theories.
- On July 6, Evening, I again went to Mody Ford showroom to return the booking receipts.
Mr Murlidharan was good in his behavior.
But but but Mr Mahesh has shown the right picture why Ford has bad reviews in service, even though people like Mr Murlidharan are good.
He again started his theory that cheques should not be canceled. And time to time showing he is very busy like the customer is a biggest fool to have opted a purchase from his dealership.
I clearly told him that I came on July 4 to him to return the booking receipts and take the cheques and I was told that cheques would not be processed.
Further, I had already been confirmed that the cheques wont be deposited in the bank.
But during the whole discussion his tone was hard. He told that he had banged Mr Murlidharan and all other crap stuff. What a manager who doesnt even respect his own employees in front of customers?
He looked like the typical owner of any grocery shop and not a sales executive of big car dealer.
There is definitely a way to convey\discuss things in humble manner.
The worst part, this manager didnt even returned my cheques by himself? And I didnt ask as I had already canceled them and I dont want to start another loop with this crab manager.
Anyways, my feedback is to help ford bring some changes with trainings and improve the customer service.
I would recommend people to buy Ford vehicles BUT should not interact with Mr Mahesh for the deal, as I feel he is not worth talking. Period!
