Mody University campus has been planned and developed as a direct response to the site and its environment. Architecture students will get to experience this planning first hand. They will be exposed to the ways and methods of designing and development in harmony with nature and the environment.
The buildings on the campus are built in various styles ranging from traditional Indian, Indo-Saracenic to contemporary. The planning of all the buildings are deeply rooted in vernacular methods adopted all over Rajasthan, often local materials and traditional techniques are also adopted. This with state of the art infrastructure, services and facilities offer opportunities to understand the relevance of traditional techniques in this age of steel and glass construction. The campus also offers opportunities for practical understanding and implementation of sustainable and green concepts such as rainwater harvesting and utilizing brown water for irrigation and landscaping, both of which have been implemented on the campus.
