The most awaited movie of the year 2000 , movie with two superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bacchan, movie from the makers of DDLJ…Wow!
Cast: Amitabh Bacchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and six newcomers.
The Plot: Shah Rukh Khan in love with Ash, Amitabh Bacchan (father of Ash, who is also some kind of Principal of some college) does not approve their relationship, Ash commits suicide. Shah Rukh Khan is then bent upon proving that the policy followed by Amitabh Bacchan –“ Mohabbat aur darr ki jung mein hamesha darr ki hi jeet hoti hai” is wrong. Hmm…Oh! Just a minute, I forgot… three more heroes and heroines were there in the movie. Now, what were they doing..?
Frankly folks, I found the movie so boring that half way through the movie I fell asleep.
I don’t know how people can have the patience of watching this 3 and half hour movie!
Performances: The performance of all the characters is very ordinary. The newcomers still have a lot to learn (I’m trying to be a bit less harsh to the newcomers).
Music: I am a very big fan of Jatin-Lalit, (remember Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and Yes Boss and DDLJ and PBDHH and …) the music directors of this movie. However the music isn’t all that good. A few hum able song like “Hum ko humi se, Chalte Chalte and Aakhein Khuli” are present.
Is any friend or relative of your suffering from insomnia? Well, he/she should no longer take sleeping piles, just suggest him/her to watch Mohabattein and he/she will have a sound sleep. That’s exactly what happened with me and that’s exactly the reason why I’m going to suggest this movie to my friends, so that everybody can have a sound sleep!
