This is the second movie of Aditya Chopra after his run away hit DDLJ, but its not even half good as DDLJ. For the start there are number of unwanted love stories, which could have been easily avoided.
Amitabh is the head of Gurukul ( does gurukul still exists in india)and doesnt like changes to be made, ( he even think aishwarya falling in love with Sharukh as a change) when he comes to know about them, he without making any effort to find who Raj Aryan is removes him from his Gurukul and as results his only daughter aishrwaya rai ends her life.When one love story ends 3 mindless love story begins and all those silly hurdles to get their love.
Now coming to perfomance of the actors and actress(oops! are there any actress in it)the only noteable was Sharukh and that also in some parts here and there, he is the one who hold this film togethere with his sheer intensity and the way he performed against Amitabh. But still its not the best of him.
Whereas Mr. Bacchan tried very hard to induce some life in his short role he could not fit it into the role from start itself, he deserves much beter script then this one, this kind of role can be left for Amrish puri who is very good in doing such roles as we saw in DDLJ...
Aishrawya Rai is only shown in flash back and in some songs, which is very refreshing considering the new heroine of the films who just dont know ABC.. of acting.
The dialogues writen by Aditya chopra is big big let down of the film, its here the whole film goes down. I think he should let the professional writer to do writing works for him.. also the picturesation of songs are moslty taken from DDLJ and DIl TO PAGAL HAI..
Watch this if your are Sharukh fan or Amitabh otherwise give it a miss.
