Promising for sure

Cricket is all about energy and athletism. But Indians have always been known for not being too athletic at times.

Fielding in Indian cricket has been the weak link. But I am sure this weak link would be washed off with the up coming of youngsters like Md. Kaif.

I simply love the way he bats and fields. He gives everything into his cricket. It is his fielding that is most striking. Now, even great teams dare to have a cheeky single when Kaif is around. His accurate throws and lightning reflexes demostrate his abilities to lift the side via fielding.

He resembles Md. Azharuddin so much in his batting style. That wristy elegance and stance reminds me of Azhar again and again. And what a batsman Kaif is!! Just take the example of the Natwest Series finals wherein he paced his innings so well and saw India through. He never lost his tempo nor did he fritter away the oppurtunities. He kept his cool and did what the situation demanded. And in India’s previous encounter against Zimbabwe, he came in under a tight situation and scored a superlative century. This itself proves that he is a man for the future. I believe he is one youngster who can certainly rise upto being the captain of the Indian team.

So I feel Kaif should be made a permanent member of both the test and the oneday side and given a fair deal because he is one whose talents know no bounds. He should be exploited to the fullest and the Indian team would come alive. I wish he does well today too.
