MOM, the movie is based on the mother and daughter relationship and about the mothers strength and power when it comes to her children.
I was totally unaware of this movie even after 2 weeks of the release. But during the show I was totally stunned by the plot and the performance of the actors. The great’Sridevi’ again proved that she is strong, loving and powerful woman and MOM.
The story is about how Sridevi tries to make better relationship with her daughter( Sajal Ali) when her daughter was going through a trauma phase. What a mother can do when it comes to her kids, no movie can explain it better.Arya( Sajan Ali) believes that a daughter happens to a mother’s life, but the mother does not happen to a daughter’s life. However Devki( Sridevi) believes that only a mother can understand her child and she did so well.This movie explains how an unfortunate incident disturbs a happily living family completely and how society reacts even after knowing the truth just because of no proof!
Although time heals everything but scar remains forever. Do not try to look for full movie story in my review, go and book a show, it is totally worth watching!
Now coming to performance, there is a mix blend of great actors, Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna, Adnan Siddiqui. Sridevi has always given great performance, but this is my favorite performance of her. She has acted so true and realistic, one could be amazed by her work. This movie has suspense element as well. During the show you would be stunned, or amazed and mysterious about what could happen next. Nawazuddin Siddiqui( DK) believe dat God will do everything right and tell to Sridevi have faith in God, to which Sridevi replied God could not be everywhere, and so Nawazuddin replied so only He has created MOM. This is the turning point of the movie. Nawazuddin character is full of suspense. He has done amazing work. Akshaye Khanna and Adnan SIddiqui were perfectly fit in their characters and have justified it.
The music is composed by legendary A.R. Rahman. Music always create an amazing affect, music creates the moment real. and A.R. Rahman music can do that very well.’O Sona Tere liye’ is my favorite music.
