MoneyControl.com is a financial portal by TV18. This site is just an online version of the most popular business news channel CNBC India.
Moneycontrol site has become very slow offlate. Also their recommendations are self contradicting. Some other sites like capitalmarket.com and BuzzingStocks.com are providing better recommendations. I think its time for the MoneyControl.com people to take real control of the content and it’s usefulness...
They also have a message board which is very useful but sometimes you also get into that crowd phsycology if you are not careful. The site has got lots and lots of newsrelated information but as an investor what I would ideally want is a recommendation and analysis of the companies like what buzzingstocks.com is providing rather than just news information.
Also the reviews on stocks are very often self-contradicting confusing the already confused retail investor.
Overall I think the site ranks among the best for the indian investor but also a leaves a lot to be desired from an organisation like TV18.
