It has been a horrible experience of buying an A/C from More Megastore, Sohna Road, Gurgaon(an Aditya Birla group company). We bought an Electrolux split A/C(1ton) on May 1st 2014 from their store. We were promised next day delivery, free installation within 48hrs.
The delivery took place late night the next day, 2nd May 2014 that also after many calls. And then the installation did not happen on 3rd as promised. I had to call many times to their store for but nothing happened. Finally, on 5th May the installation guys from Electrolux came (as 4th was a Sunday!). Here the story takes even another spin.
When they opened the box they did not find the copper wire which is supposed to be part of the standard kit. On prodding, we were told that this is a dealer’s problem. I called up the store again and I was told it was an Electrolux back end issue!
Finally, the installation guys left without installing and when asked said that we would need to pay for the wire! This is really atrocious. I called up the store again and I was assured that the wire would be delivered and the installation would take place in few minutes. But the installation guys went off.
This is a fit case of trade malpractice and I really hope that brands such as More(part of Aditya Birla group) take these issue seriously or they would have major impact on the sales!
In this experience of ours, Electrolux is equally responsible. I would write separately about them as I had a terrible experience with the attitude of the installation guys. If this is the kind of service before even using their machine then one can imagine the customers’ plight who use their machines!
