Not suitable for indian food style

Hey all,

One again, I came back with the review for Morphy Richards food processor.

I have purchased the Morphy Richards food processor (I think it was the best model available in the market in december 2004). Truely speaking, it’s price was higher than Sumit, INALSA and all. But, I think lesser than PHILIPS.

As a company background, this company is from UK and no doubt well established there. But, do you remember one KAHAWAT "bichho ka mantar jaan kar ke saap ke bil mein haath nahin dalna chahiye.". It is the same with this product. It is not all suitable for the INDIAN food style (especially north indian), where we use lots of spice (after grinding lot of spice adrakh, haldi, jeera, kali mirch, onion and all). In fact you have to gring different types of DAAL for different types of recepies. Like for DAHIVADA, DOSA, IDLI and all. It’s grinding capability is not at all comfortable for all these things. It may grind very well the things which are being used in western or continental food.

I am using this since 18 months. After an year itself, I have found the problem related with it’s grinder. I think, it’s sharpness has gone. Other than this some black liquid comes from the unit while running. Grinder blade becomes loose. It makes noise.

I have called to servcie center. One person has come and noted the complaint and all. That service guy has said, he will come next day and fix the problem. That next day has never come since 3 months. Our problem is, we both are working and noone be at home except weekends. Now, it seems that we had taken headache. In fact simple onion grinding is not proper. It’s pathatic.

In my opinion, sumeet or INALASA or some brands who knows the indian food style is a better food processor.

Remember, always imported product is not correct.

No doubt, they provide lot of options or features. But, these things are also available in other brands.

My recommendation is NO.
