Morphy Richards Induction cooker, a worst product.

After reading a review here I’ve bought Morphy richards Induction Cooker - Chef Xpress 200 from ezone for 3100/-.

First of all I will tell you about my awful experience as this was the worst company product I have ever bought & used. Since the first day of usage it was showing some problems as sometimes it stopped working within 1 minute. After using it for 2 days, the top glass is cracked when I make chapathi on an induction base tawa I’ve bought, now the burnt induction coil is visible from inside of the cooktop.

I have contacted the seller on next day with the cracked, burnt product and the seller had adviced me to contact the manufacturer. They have given me a customer service number 1800 22 6722 and I have asked them to replace my cooktop. They have noted my complaint and nothing more this service assistant would do for me. The seller does not seems to be responsible as they said liability to provide the warranty is with manufacturer so they don’t have anything to do on this issue. The seller suggested that they can arrange to change the cooktop glass and coil if I am ready to pay for it.

Do not use this company unless you want to get support for your item from a proper service center! The customer service here has to be the worst I’ve ever experienced. They dont have proper service centers. This product was offered a 2 year manufacturers warranty but it was worked just for 2 days. Trying to get support from these guys are waste of time. If they don’t have a proper warranty repair service why do they offer 2 years warranty and sell the product in high prices?

Poor quality components are used, even it’s plastic body is not strong as the other company products available in market. The cooktop glass used is not temperature resistant material, it is easy to crack in case of overheat. I have even checked some other brands like Pigeon, Preethi, Prestige also in market it’s quality seems to be better than this Morphy richards. This may be a UK brand but it is mentioned that product is manufactured in China and it is marketed by Bajaj. If Mr. Gauravanaikin who wrote the review about Morphy induction cooker earlier here is a Morphy employee please took my complaint to the concerned people and arrange to replace the cooktop. Please dont mislead the people as it is a UK product. It is a made in China product, and there is no proper customer service in India at least in Bangalore.  Mr. Gauravanaikin has mentioned that this cooktop uses PCB. All these induction cookers, even the local brands may also be made with those kinds of electronic PCB, I don’t find anything special in this product other than it’s higher selling prices.

Never buy the products by reading reviews written by employees of these brands, before buying these kind of products please make sure that there is a local service center available in your town, at least we can contact, take the faulty product to them directly in case of any such problems.
