Perfect for a quick iron

I bought the morphy richards inspira because the steam iron from Philips that we were using at home malfunctioned and the service center asked some time to repair it. I thought I could use it after that during my stay at hostel. But the philps was never repaired and we ended up using the inspira for nearly a year and for its size and specs it did put out some good performance.

The plates are smooth and have not shown major signs of wear till now, also as it is light weight it is easy to handle. It is till insufficient to iron sarees and some cotton material like shirts with and currently we have brought a heavy stem iron also from morphy richards for use.

Coming to specs it is 1000w iron, that has temperature control to set to desired fabric type. Also there is an indicator light. It has non stick coated sole plate from DuPont which is quite nice and the whole thing comes under 1 kg. The stand out feature for me is the chord, they mention its  a 360 swivel chord and what it does best is that the chord doesn’t get in our way when ironing and this a great feature.

The only place where it falls behind is the lack of steam options, so heavily wrinkled cloth can be a headache. Also I like to have iron with some weight so that I don’t have to put much force into ironing heavy material like denim. But some people do prefer lighter irons.

The iron comes with one year warranty and service is mostly provide through bajaj. I believe this is a reliable iron. It has very little signs of wear and looks to go really long .And that is reason why I chose a morphy richard when I bough a new steam iron. the new model trizone steam iron is perfect for home use and I’ve reviewed the same on this site. But for some especially a bachelor who wants quick iron before heading out this is the perfect product.
