Moser Baer Blank Dvds
Not too long ago, Moser Baer disks made its entry in the Indian Market and their highlight was Blank and Rewritable disks.
I dont really know if anyone has noticed, but heres the point. Most of us fail to notice, Blank Moser Baer CDs and DVDs we purchase from our local stationery store or Supermarket are FAKE. Yes!
I only realised this a lately when I was burning a movie. (dont worry I am sure every one of you will notice this going forward)
I had purchased 5, 16x blank Moser Baer DVDs from a local supermarket. The storemangave them to me from his DVD spindle pack of 100. The spindle had Moser Baer (Red colored carton) written on it. Even the Dvds had a clear logo on it saying ’Moser Baer 16x DVD-R’.(looks can be deceiving)
Iusually burn movies and music every now and then. The fact I failed tonotice was the writing speed. I was trying to burn data and It showed disk write speed at 8x. I had burnt data a few weeksback and during that time I had purchased the same Moser Baer blanddvds from else where. At that time it used to show 12x instead of 16x. It seemed to me that there was a problem with my DVD writer but it wasn’t. My Sony DVD-R`s always wrote at 16x.
This caught my attention. When I checked on the website the Original Dvds and Cds from MoserBaer had a different logo towards the edge compared to the one I had. I still have not figured a way to distinguish the two.
Soplease be careful whist purchasing these disks. Ensure you only buyfrom reputed stores. Do Not buy loose Disks from spindle packs, eitherbuy sealed Blank disks or sealed Spindle packs.
