The movie certainly has raised expectations through emotional trailer people must have seen in the form of Julia Roberts. However, that is it. The movie does not really have much to offer and it would not touch you so much as the culture is typically American. Now-a-days we see days dedicated for everything, every relation, every activity to top this up now we have films made on these days!

Hollywood isn’t also something with great records, it has given us a film like The Huntsman: Winter’s war! in the last week and now this one. Like Huntsman, this one too has some big names to it’s caste-list like Jeniffer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts etc, however they cannot lift the film up. The Director might have thought of cashing on the emotional factor associated with mother - however does not work well this time.

The film shows stories related to multiple characters in the film like Sandy(J Aniston) is a single mother, separated from her husband and taking care of 2 sons. However the husband re-marries and this time to someone half his age. Second one is about Jesse(Kate Hudson) who marries a non-white(an Indian!). She hides her marriage from her parents which estranges her from them.

There is a man too who plays a single dad to two girls. The girls try to take off his sorrow as he has just lost his wife. Not to forget there is Julia Roberts too in the film who plays Miranda, a well known writer who gives up her child, for adoption at birth. The same child as she prepares for her marriage, she begins to contemplate the missing part in her life - the mother.
