I am fond of eating and I keep visiting new restaurants in Mumbai suburbs. Generally I go to Hotel Picasso but this time thought of trying this as it promises to serve authentic Muglai dishes and the hotel is conveniently located in food plaza in Inorbit mall (which is the only plus point) Malad west.
I think this is the big mistake I made of going by the convenience and the promises. I ordered Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tangri Kabab (supposed to be stuffed but I hardly noticed the stuffing).
To my surprise, the dishes were served in less than 5 minutes (wonder if they keep prepared everything and just heat it in microwave before serving).
I was expecting some different and truly unique taste but I was completely disappointed. The food taste was average and the quantity served was also very less. And all this comes at a whopping prize. I then ordered Chicken Tawa Fry and Garlic Naan.
The waiter told us that you will get some gravy in it so you can eat it with roti. But the dish served to us was completely dry and I kept searching for chicken in the onions served in this dish. In 10 Minutes the Garlic Naan became rubber making it very difficult to eat.
The ambiance of the restaurant is average but service was quite quick. The prize here on an average is about Rs 350 which looks very costly compared to the food quality and the quality.
Another unique thing I noticed for the 1st time in Mumbai is that they charged service charge for serving the food. On a bill of Rs. 2500. I ended up paying Rs. 150 as service charge.
Overall my experience was worst and I personally recommend to stay away from this restaurant.
