We used to have a tradition and we still follow it. For diwali time, we used to purchase Moti sandal soap as part of our tradition. In Marathi, we use to say sakal zhali moti sabanachi vel zhali for the first day of diwali.
It has special memories to it. Early years, Moti soap used to showcase in advertising but as the years passed the advertising has stopped. Only recently I have seen one Marathi moti ad. I wish this soap doesn’t stop manufacturing. They comes in two types ; one is sandalwood and the other in rose pink. Our favourite was definitely sandalwood.
