I had been using this superb phone for an year, until recently. I switched to Motorola w230. The Motoming is a real good phone, I had no idea of what all it had when I bought it. The only reason I bought the phone was its a PDA, it had touchscreen. As for most of us, I had always wanted to own a Smartphone with touchscreen n stuff since days I started using a mobile.
So, here I was with it. Coming to the phone; its quite a beauty, with the transparent flap that has the speaker embedded into it with almost invisible wires connecting it, first thing people wonder is about how this has been done. It has got a nice interface, a Linux based OS if I’m not wrong. The music quality is superb, pleasant to listen to with enough volume and good bass. But, the volume of the music played thru the external speaker of the phone is quite low. This can be a prob, but can be mended to a certain extent by modifying the volume table of the phone. The 2mp camera is also quite good with picture options like day, night, etc. The video quality is the one thing that is bad in this phone.
Overall, it is a great phone with lot of features. The phone is easy to use, but touch screen with no keypad, this makes messaging a lot tough, though it has a good handwriting recogniser. This was one reason I found this phone tough to handle, I need the stylus everytime to operate the phone. Though the transparent flap and the shortcut keys on the sides of the phone make it a little easier, eg: you can take pictures, read ur incoming msg, access ur music player with the flap closed. Its a great phone with good value for money too.
I recommend this phone to those laid back kinda ppl, not for the ones on the go.
