SCHUMI and FERRARI

My previous review was to highlight my affiliation for a particular F1 Team and I guess I have made it pretty clear. If you look at all the teams in the F1 circuit and make a critical evaluation of all of them you would find that Ferrari comes out on top.

Though the parent company of Ferrari i.e.FIAT might in financial trouble but still they have been investing a lot in their F1 team and his shows their commitment towards the sport as such. The has often come under fire from critics for running on BRIDGESTONE tyres but the team has stuck to it and this has paid rich dividends. The team has spend high amount on R&D and this can be seen through the constant improvements in their cars. The cars are getting better and better with each passing season.

In contrast other teams have been left behind. But here I must confess that teams like Renault, Jordan and Jaguar have made big strides but these measures are not good enough to pose threat to the domination of Ferrari. While thge top teams Like McLaren and BMW have simply been on a decline.

The most notable difference to last year’s BMW WilliamsF1 Team’s challenger (the FW25) is the switch from a ’single keel’ to a ’twin keel’ chassis design with a shorter nose cone and protruding front pillars. These have already been likened to elephant or walrus tusks, but perhaps more closely resemble a manta ray’s front fins. This design has come under a lot of criticism and the car has been dubbed as worst looking by some. The team boss Sir Williams himself admitted that he would take liking for the design if the team emerges on the top.

On the other had McLaren has drivers of great capability but alas the machine lets them down and now it has been a regular feature that one of the car breaks down and this is reflected in the overall team standing in this season.

Further more the Ferrari team on the whoile works as a single cohesive unit and this is reflected in their performance right on the tracks and in the pitlanes too. These are the few reasons I cherish Ferrari as a team.
