What a wonderful start it has been for the Formula 1 season in 2002. I guess you cant ask for better start.
All the three races have been breathtaking from start to finish. There was a great danger that Michael Schumacher may run away with the game for the second consecutive season it doesnt seem to be happening though he is leading the pack for now but then he is not far ahead, as Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf are right behind him.
Some of the major highlights of the season have been:
1.The scintillating starts in all three races. Who can forget the great Ralf crash in Australia, luckily Ralf came out of that unscathed. The clash between Michael and Juan Pablo in both Malaysia and Brazil. Where in each lost the nose of their cars. (Michael in Malaysia and Juan Pablo in Brazil).
2.The great comeback by the two leaders (Juan Pablo and Michael) who from the last position ended up 5th on and 3rd respectively after their accidents in the start. Only showcases what a great drivers they are.
3.The unlucky Rubens Barrichello who was subdued and asked to lose a race last season by his team Ferrari so Schumacher could win over Coulthard. He seems to carrying his worries this year too he has not completed a single race this year. Though he was leading in all three races his machine failed. I guess here is a man who has all the talent who is definitely unlucky. One man to watch out for the rest of the season
4.The significant improvement of the Williams as a team over the Ferrari all the problems with Barrichello has ensured that the Williams have taken a significant lead in the race for constructors championship. The one team, which real needs some boost, is the Mercedes who are doing with their 2002 engine just not running as to what they expected. Coulthard must be really cursing his luck for all his mis fortune but then again its too early. One team which is making waves this season is the resurgent Renault team. Watch for this team sure will give run for Mercedes money.
The season has started off, as a cracker sure will be exciting to see how the whole championship shapes. Well as of now its anybodys race. Wish to see the end of Michael Schumacher era for some excitement and for the betterment of the Formula 1 championship.
