MOTOROLA C155
Motorola has not been successful in India. But it has produced some of its best phones in India. One of them is Motorola c155 which came in to the market as a competitor to Nokia 2600 and sonyericsson T290i. Coming to the point Motorola c155 is a simple and dangerous model! It has a colour display and ranges from 2500 to 2900. It has a new refreshing shape and design. It is also compactable in Hindi language. Truly it is the HANDSET OF COMMON INDIANS. So the features, good and bad points are given below.
Design : The Motorola c155 has a new refreshing look and is a little bit round at the top and normal in the bottom. It comes in only one colour black. The sales pack consists of the Handset, manual and a charger.
Operating system : The operating system is easy to Motorola users but a little bit time consuming for nokia users. But still it has a got sililar one to the Nokias.
Keys : The keys are Ok but a little bit hard to press. The four way navigation key[look alike] is good enough to handle and has a center button which serves as a OK button.
Menu : The menu of this phone consists of MESSAGES, PHONE BOOK, RECENT CALLS, MYMENU, RINGSTYLE, ALARM CLOCK, SETTINGS, MORE, CHAT, GAMES AND BROWSER.
Messages : Under this option one can send SMS. Browser messages can be read. Inbox is available to check the previous messages. Voicemail option is good. The last option is Outbox. You can check your sent messages.
Phone book : In this option one can save names and phone numbers of many people.
Recent calls : This option consists of Dialed, received and missed calls. It ahs a note pad to note important news or any thing else. The other options are call times and call costs.
Mymenu : This the dirtiest part of the cell I can say. I had used this phone for about six months and don’t know how to use it ! This is the wastest option that I had ever seen.
Ring style : This consists of ring type in which the type of ring can be selected. Tone details to set your ringing tone and mytones to compose your tones.
Alarm clock : This the common option found in many cells. This is used in setting the alarm time. The alarm times can be named.
Settings : In this option the phone settings, call settings and security settings can be altered. It also consists of other settings in which the customization of the phone can be done.
More : This option has Calculator, service dial and stop watch about which you would have known.
Games : There are three waste games in this phone. Racing , Topendo and magic which are waste. I had observed one thing in Motorola that the games of Motorola are waste.
Browser : This is the most attractive part of the phone. This phone is both GPRS and WAP supporting. But it does not give high quality browsing.
Finally I can say that this phone is good for normal users
The good points of this phone are it is the cheapest colour mobile available in the country. It supports WAP and GPRS. New refreshing look.
Bad points are No JAVA, No USB CABLE support. Some times hangs. Only polyphonic tones can be downloaded. Pixel quality is worst. Very. Very, very, very , very small S C R E E N. Buttons are little bit harsh.
