Big bang for a small packet

I’ve been using this phone for the past two years after I lost five phones in so many months. The best thing I liked about this phone was the value for money appeal. It does not have bluetooth, GPRS, MMS, Camera, MP3 player, colour display, and other fancy features, but whatever it has, it lets you use it properly. As far as the basic functions of a mobile phone are concerned, it has got excellent clarity, and good signal strength. For a phone priced at Rs.1, 500, it serves your purpose what it is meant for. The battery life is excellent, and on some occassions, has lasted me for four days without recharging.

It lets you do call conferencing, lets you send messages to many, create template messages, has multiple alarm clock settings, etc. One most important and useful feature I found in this phone was that I could set the times for when I wanted the phone to switch on and off automatically. I have not come across this feature in any other phone. My phone switches off on its own at 9.00 pm and switches on automatically at 8.30 am when I leave for office. I’m a simple family man, and this lets me avoid unwanted customer calls during the night.

One disadvantage I found(initially) in this phone was the multiple key presses that is required for sending out a message. Message ->To?->change->add->phonebook->go back->Msg->change->type in msg->close->ok->send msg->ok. you get my drift. Shifting frm Nokia, it was quite a pain for sometime. But then I got used to it. Also, the keys are quite small, so typing it out is slightly difficult.

Other than that, the phone serves its intended purpose in an excellent manner.
