Being a die-hard Nokia user, and since the past 2 years using no phone brand except for Nokia, using Motorola was a new and exiting experience for me.I usually use a Nokia 6610, but my father was going to a location where a Tri-Band phone was needed. So, i gave him mine and took his, the Motorola C350, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise.

The Motorola C350 I was using came in a Silver coloured cover, which looked a little bit dull. However, when I turned on the phone, i forgot totally about the cover as I was surprised to find a bright, colourful yet small colour screen in the phone. The start-up tone was also very melodious as it supports upto 16 chords at one time, unlike 4 on my 6610.After migrating from a easy-to-use Nokia phone, it takes quite a while to get used to the heaps and heaps of menus and submenus a Motorola phone throws at you, but one learns over time. After getting used to the phone, the Menu is quite easy to use and navigate and has a high level of customisation so you can shift frequently used sub-menus to the front. The messaging system on this phone is also different, featuring a iTAP, similar to Nokia T9 but not all that good.SMS typing was a bit sluggish but still fair. The menu itself gets sluggish at times because the processor cannot take the load of a colour screen. The Profile system is good, and has a nice Vibrate and Ring or a Vibrate feature in case you want your phone to be silent. The GPRS is pretty fast and the browser is good too, and I was able to download many images and polytones via WAP.The sound quality is good, very clear so is network reception. One thing the Motorola had was an in-call timer, which is very useful. The phone comes with 3 inbuilt colour games, but only MotoGP, a bike racing game is intresting and fun to play.It unfortunately does not support Java, so you cannot add new applications or games of your choise to it.The polyphonic ringtones are not all that loud, but can be heard. You wont however miss a call as the vibrator is strong. The display is very small, so viewing images is not all a pleasure, but still it livens up browsing as it has colour support.
Overall, the phone is very good, considering the price. For 6, 200/- you get a box-packed phone featuring a good colour screen and amazing ringtones. It is a great buy if budget is small, and it sure wont let you down.Motorola is finally done a good job in years!!
